About the Counsellor


Sally Brimicombe has been in Private counselling Practice for 21 years and has the following qualifications:

  • Certificate in  Intergrative Psychotherapy
  • Certificate in Counselling Skills and a certificate in Counselling Theory
  • An Advanced Diploma in  Counselling
  • Certificate in  Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)
  • Certificates in Working with trauma-related dissociation: personality and dissociative disorders to level 3

 

Sally is a member of the Association of Christian Counsellors (ACC) and is on their Professional standards Authority (PSA) register.

 

Sally has knowledge of bereavement counselling, family problems, relationship difficulties, anxiety, depression and phobias and  Adult survivors of abuse. Sally also offers counselling for those individuals caring for a loved one with dementia and counselling for PhD students as they progress through their PhD projects.


Sally has training in bereavement counselling. Sally ran a child contact centre. She was a school governor with responsibilities for children with special educational needs. More recently she was Safeguarding Co-ordinator for the Methodist Circuit of Churches and now sits on the district safeguarding group.
